This 1954 Mercury Hardtop Coupe is a highly original example of the hard to find Monterey model. Presented in an older repaint in its factory Bittersweet and cream paint scheme, the car still presents very well with its matching color coordinated interior.
Powered by a Ford Y-Block 256 ci V8 equipped with a 4 barrel Edelbrock carburetor and dual exhaust and mated to a 3 speed manual transmission with overdrive, new Coker Classic whitewall radials and factory Mercury hubcaps, this car drives at highway speeds comfortably.
Still retaining most of its original components, including steering wheel, radio, clock, fender skirts, dual side mirrors and emblems, most of the chrome and stainless has been polished or re-plated.
During the process of removing the interior and carpet for cleaning, solid rust-free floor pans were revealed, as were original factory build tags for the car. The build tags and a 1954 Mercury Owners Guide come with the car.
